Yoga & Famo Fascia Movement Retreat

In a Famo Yoga class the focus lies on the health-enhancing qualities of fascia. Fascia is the body-wide network of interconnected soft, collagenous tissue that gives shape to our bodies. This method aims to intentionally train fascia and contributes to the balance of the posture, movement efficiency and vitality. The contrasting movement sequences contain dynamic and rhythmical, and soft and melting exercises in all body positions.

The movement method of FAMO is a creation of Karin Gurtner and it is based on new findings in fascia research and movement science.

The sense of well-being and freedom after a class is priceless!

Classes are open to all levels and you do not need to have any prior FAMO knowledge. A signed waiver is required to participate in this tour.

Meet your instructor: Silvia Monetti

Silvia started at a very young age with ballet, her great passion even when, years later, she discovered yoga, looking for a gentler approach, to abandon the mirror and find that "inner gaze" made of listening, patience, and kindness.

She started a Yin yoga education path based on these qualities: listening, observing, and learning to abandon herself with trust to the wisdom of the body, recognizing and accepting its limits and rigidity.

Since 2019 she has been studying fascia and as a proud FAMO Fascia Movement teacher, she incorporates and shares it in her classes. You can expec a balanced blend of different elements coming from ballet, yoga, and contemporary Pilates, all arranged in a harmonious symphony.
